Russ started at The Film Editors in Soho, London as a 35mm film assistant to Pam Power at The Film Editors which was closely associated with Ridley Scott and the stable of directors at RSA. He spent some time in Canada and the US before becoming an editor and partner at The Cutting Edge in Soho. He went freelance in 1999 to pursue a diverse range of work from commercials and documentaries to video art installations in London and New York. In 2003 he co-directed and edited the documentary 'Maidens of the Lost Ark' for Channel 4 which was nominated for The 2004 Grierson Award for Most Entertaining Documentary. He continues to work freelance and also has representation at Final Cut in Soho. | | |
